Choosing shutter colour

Updated: Jul 17, 2023

It's all very well deciding to have beautiful shutters installed to enhance your windows, look good and control light, privacy and warmth/cool but how do you choose between the over 30 colours available?

First thing to note, different shutter ranges have different colours and finishes. They have been offered based on research and what customers prefer.

For instance, the Poly Splashproof Shutter range recommended for bathrooms and wet rooms come in 6 shades. Starting from Super White, the shades gradually darken to Classic. They have a soft sheen finish to repel moisture and the colours should complement most bathroom suites. Choose a shade closest to your bathroom suite or your tiles depending on which you prefer.

In the image below, the shutters were chosen to match the bathroom suite and contrast with the tiles.

Shutter colour contrasts with the tiles and is similar to the bathroom suite

There are also ranges offering not just colour differences but a woodgrain texture too. Our hardwood range offers nearly 50 combinations of colour and woodgrain! Most natural woods can be matched to at least one of the choices available, from Nature to Black Walnut.

If we don't have the colour you want, for a little extra, you can have your shutters finished in one of the popular paint manufacturers colours. Dulux and Farrow & Ball are the most popular.

So, with all these options available you should be able to have the colour you want. And Country Home Shutters would be pleased and proud to assist you.

Thank you for reading this, we hope you found it helpful.
